Fort Belvoir FES (E466, BC463) and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to an apartment fire Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at approximately 1:27 p.m. in the Lorton area of Fairfax County.  Located at 9248 Ashland Woods Lane.

Firefighters saw heavy fire and smoke coming from the building upon arrival.  The fire was brought under control in approximately 15 minutes.    

No occupant injuries and Red Cross is assisting the residents.
Damage estimate is not available.  The fire is under investigation.
