Welcome Information The Fort Belvoir Professional Firefighters Local F-273 was established by the International Association of Firefighters on October 18th, 1992. The members of Local F-273 respond to over 2,500 emergency calls annually; protecting approximately 23 square miles and serving more than 22,000 service members, their families, and DOD civilians to the installation. We operate four (4) Engines (Pumpers), an Aerial Ladder (Truck Company), Tower Ladder, ARFF Truck (Foam Unit), a Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, and several support & utility vehicles out of four fire stations. We provide Fire & Emergency response to the main post of Fort Belvoir, Davison Army Airfield, and Fort Belvoir North, which is home to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency - one of the largest buildings in the DoD. We also provide Mutual Aid to Fairfax County and other Northern Virginia jurisdictions.
Our Union is dedicated to ensuring that the Health, Safety, Security, and Employment interests of our Emergency Service Professionals are maintained to the highest level, allowing us to provide platinum services to our customers. The Fort Belvoir Professional Firefighters Local F-273 is the exclusive Labor Organization representing all unit employees of the Fort Belvoir Fire & Emergency Services Division.
