Fort Belvoir FES units (E463, BC463, BC463, M465, and M464) responded to a motor vehicle accident at the Base Pool, located at the intersection of Gorgas Road and Wright Road on July 9, 2010. A single vehicle lost control and ran into the pool compound and struck two fences and the large sliding board structure, one occupant in the vehicle was transported ALS to Dewitt Hospital by M465, a second patient who was a bystander cut his right arm when he broke the window to assist the driver and was transported to Dewitt BLS by M464.  Crews removed hazards, and turned over scene to Fort Belvoir Police.
