It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Battalion Chief Richard "Chip" Smith of IAFF Local 1430 - Ontario, California. Brother Smith, 46, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2009 from colorectal cancer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario, California 91764, (909) 937-3000.
